Ron Schmelzer currently serves as the Global Head of AI Best Practices and General Manager of PMI Cognilytica at the Project Management Institute, focusing on guiding professionals in the adoption of AI. As the Founder and Managing Partner of Cognilytica, Schmelzer has been instrumental in advising various sectors on AI best practices since 2017. Additionally, contributions to Forbes, TechTarget, and COGNITIVE WORLD showcase expertise in AI and Machine Learning. As Executive Director of GovFuture, a community for government innovators, Schmelzer promotes collaboration in the public sector. Schmelzer also holds founding roles in A-Level Capital and was among the early investors in the TechStars Boston 2010 Pool. Educational credentials include a BS in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School.
