Birgitte Schou

Birgitte Schou has a strong career in finance and leadership spanning over several companies and organizations. Birgitte is currently a Member of the Board of Directors at A.P. Møller Maritime ApS. Birgitte also holds the position of Member of the Board of Directors at Maersk Product Tankers A/S, where they previously served as a Member of the Audit Committee. Additionally, they serve as a Board Member at Operaparkfonden and DISfonden. Prior to these roles, Birgitte was the Vice President, Head of Accounting and Tax at A.P. Møller Holding. Birgitte also held the position of Member of the Audit Committee at Maersk Tankers. Before that, they were the Vice President of Finance at Lundbeckfonden. Their extensive experience includes Partner, Statsautoriseret revisor at PwC Danmark, where they worked for over 20 years. Birgitte has also served as a board member for Revisornævnet (Auditor Board) appointed by The Danish Business Authorities. Earlier in their career, Birgitte was the Finance Director at Pasteur Merieux Serum et Vaccins A/S.

Birgitte Schou obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Business Economics (HD-R) from Copenhagen Business School in the years 1988 to 1992. Birgitte then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Business Economics and Auditing (cand.merc.aud.) from Copenhagen Business School from 1994 to 1998. In 2003, Birgitte Schou completed a program in FSR - Danske Revisorer, which awarded their the title of State Authorized Public Accountant.
