DiAundra Grimes has a varied work experience, beginning with a Hydrologic Technician Intern role at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in 2005. DiAundra then held an Office Assistant role and a Resident Manager role at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2010. From 2010 to 2011, they were a High School Mathematics Teacher at the Dekalb County School District. From 2011 to 2014, they were an Independent Beauty Consultant at Mary Kay Inc. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Student Development Specialist at Georgia Perimeter College. From 2016 to 2020, they were a Senior Student Development Specialist at Georgia State University. From 2020 to 2021, they were a Curriculum Alignment Specialist at IXL Learning. Finally, from 2021 to 2022, they were a Learning Experience Designer III at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Currently, they are a Co-Founder at The Reynolds-Johnson Educational Fund, Inc.
DiAundra Grimes attended Albany High School before continuing their education at Fort Valley State University, where they earned a BS in Mathematics in 2006. DiAundra then went on to pursue a BS in Biomedical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they completed in 2009. In 2015, they earned a Master of Education (MEd) in Educational Administration and Policy from The University of Georgia. In 2017, they earned a Graduate Certificate in Educational Law and Policy from The University of Georgia.
