Angela O'Hara

Angela O'Hara has worked in a variety of roles since 2008. Angela began their career as an Assistant English Teacher for the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program (JET) in 2008. In 2009, they became a Fine Arts Instructor for the City of London, Canada Neighbourhood & Children's Services Division. In 2010, they became a Visual Merchandiser for Mark's Work Wearhouse. From 2013 to 2021, they worked at Big Viking Games in a variety of roles, including Lead Concept Artist, Lead Artist, Senior Artist, Intermediate Artist, and Associate Artist. In 2018, they started their own business, Art by Angela, where they work as a Freelance Illustrator. In this role, they have been responsible for designing key art for Zafir: Tactical Roleplaying Game, cover artwork for both editions of Zafir, character class artwork, and a series of fully rendered fantasy illustrations appearing throughout the book. Angela has also created social media promotional assets and UI elements for Zafir, illustrated cover art for Ballad of the Pistolero, and designed card box art for PitchFest: Videogame Edition. Additionally, they are currently writing and illustrating a fairy-tale comic book, “The Moonstone Diadem,” which was fully funded on Kickstarter within 23 minutes of campaign launch. Angela has also been a runner-up winner in the Shadows of Argus Art Contest, run by Blizzard Entertainment, for “Alleria Windrunner” (2017). Angela runs a Patreon service with art resources and information, designs merchandise, creates marketing materials and sources manufacturers, sells merchandise internationally through an online storefront and in person at comic conventions, creates custom fantasy character artwork for private clients, and has published artwork in The Warframe Zine (2019), Release! A CLAMP Anthology (2019), and the Artists of Azeroth Anthology (2018).

Angela O'Hara completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Visual Arts at York University from 2004 to 2008. Angela also attended H.B. Beal Secondary School from 2000 to 2004. Additionally, they have obtained a Remote Leadership Certificate from Weird Is Nrml in September 2021, a Modern Leadership Certificate from Weird Is Nrml in January 2021, and an Open Water Diver Certificate from ACUC in July 2020.
