Carola Leuschner

Carola Leuschner has a wealth of experience in the field of research and development. Carola currently holds the position of VP R&D at A28 Therapeutics and Vice President, Research and Development at the same company. Prior to this, they served as VP of R&D at Boko Therapeutics.

Leuschner's most extensive work experience was at ESPERANCE PHARMACEUTICALS, INC., where they were the VP of Research and Development. During their time there, they successfully implemented 2 clinical trials, obtained 11 patents in the US and internationally, and developed platform technology for 5 drug candidates. Carola also played a key role in expanding research programs at MD Anderson and represented the company during drug testing and diligence phases.

Before joining ESPERANCE PHARMACEUTICALS, INC., Leuschner worked at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center as an Associate Professor. There, they secured funding from the Department of Defense for prostate cancer therapy development and received additional funding from Esperance Pharmaceuticals for pre-clinical development of cancer treatment.

Leuschner's earliest work experience was as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Institute for Botany, where they worked from 1989 to 1992.

Carola Leuschner completed their education in the field of Biochemistry, earning a Doctor rerum naturalium degree from the University of Hannover in Germany. Carola attended the university from 1991 to 1994.
