Teresa Boness

Teresa Boness has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Teresa currently holds the position of Vice President, Finance at AAAE since July 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Finance at Nonprofit Management from April 2020 to November 2022. Teresa has also worked as the Director- Grants and Financial Management at Water For People from February 2018 to September 2019, and as the Controller (VP) at Cocona / 37.5 Technology from November 2016 to February 2018. Teresa then worked at the State of Nebraska as the County Program and Financial Director from 2002 to 2004. Teresa began their professional journey at RSM US LLP as a Senior Accountant/Microsoft Dynamics Consultant from 1996 to 2000.

Teresa Boness has a diverse education history. Teresa holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Colorado Boulder, where they studied Business and Women and Gender Studies. Teresa also pursued Multi-Cultural Studies with a focus on Cuba at the Center for the Study of Jose Marti.

In addition, Teresa has completed a Master's in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Denver - Daniels College of Business. Teresa later obtained another Master's in Business Administration, specializing in Accounting and Finance, from the same institution.

Furthermore, Teresa has obtained various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. These certifications include a 501 (c)3 Grant Writing Certification, which they obtained without specifying the institution.
