EJ Irvin has a diverse work experience spanning several years. EJ started their career in 2004 as a Special Operations Aviator in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne). EJ then held various roles in different organizations including the 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army, where they served as an Executive Officer and Operations Officer. In 2010, they joined the US Army TRADOC - US Army Aviation Center of Excellence as the Chief of Collective Aviation Training and later served as the Executive Officer and Operations Officer in the 110th Aviation Brigade. From 2013 to 2014, they were the Commander of the 1-228th Aviation Regiment in the Joint Task Force Bravo. In 2014, they became the US Army Aviation Human Resource Manager. EJ then moved on to work as the Executive Officer in the Office of the Chief of Staff at USSOCOM. In 2018, they became the Deputy Commander - Support in the Special Operations Joint Task Force-Afghanistan. In 2019, they became the Commander (Chief Executive Officer) of the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade in the 82nd Airborne Division, U.S. Army. Most recently, they worked as the Director of the Commander's Initiative Group in the XVIII Airborne Corps. Currently, they hold the role of Vice President Sales Marketing Business Development at AAR. Throughout their career, EJ Irvin has demonstrated strong leadership skills and has been responsible for managing budgets, assets, and personnel.
EJ Irvin holds a Masters in Strategic Studies from The United States Army War College and a Masters in Military Operational Art & Science from the USAF Air War College. EJ obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography & Economics from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. In addition, they have various certifications, including Inclusive and Ethical Leadership from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business and certifications related to flight instruction and aviation from the Federal Aviation Administration and the US Army. EJ also holds a Contracting Officer's Representative certification from the United States Department of Defense.
