Merle Bingham Jr has extensive work experience in various engineering management roles. Merle started their career as an Engineering Manager at CoorsTek in 1991 and held this position until 2001. Merle then worked for Goodrich Aerospace as a Manager of Product Support Engineering from 2005 to 2007, where they led support teams for cargo systems on wide-body commercial aircraft. From 2007 to 2008, they served as the Director of Engineering at NORDAM, where they provided leadership for a realignment program to upgrade the company's internal methodology. In 2008, they returned to Goodrich Aerospace as an Engineering Project Manager, overseeing international engineering operations. In 2010, they joined Fargo Jet Center / Weather Modification Inc. as a Project Manager for STC & PMA Development, managing aircraft modification programs. Merle then joined AAR CORP. in 2011, first as an Engineering Manager and later as the Director of Engineering. At AAR CORP., they led engineering teams for the design of modern cargo systems and served as the Operations Manager for a new Cargo Center of Excellence MRO facility in Memphis, TN. Currently, since February 2017, Merle Bingham Jr has been working as an Engineering Manager at Fargo Jet Center.

Merle Bingham Jr has a Diploma in College prep from Quabbin Regional. Merle then pursued an Associate's Degree in Aircraft Maintenance (A&P License) from Wentworth Institute of Technology from 1972 to 1974. Following this, they completed a Bachelor's Degree in Aero Engineering with a focus on Engineering and Manufacturing Operations from Arizona State University from 1975 to 1978.
