Cory Painter

Cory Painter has extensive work experience in strategy and corporate affairs. From 2017 to the present, Cory has served as the Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Affairs at The Aaron's Company, Inc., where they led corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, business development/partnerships, competitive intelligence, and investor relations responsibilities. Prior to this, they were a Senior Director of Strategy at the same company from 2017 to 2021. Cory also has experience in management consulting, having worked as a Manager at Kearney from 2016 to 2017, and as an Associate from 2014 to 2016. Cory began their career as an Analyst at Kearney from 2009 to 2010 and later worked as a Senior Analyst in 2011. Cory also had a role as an Investment Banking Summer Associate at Morgan Stanley in 2013. Their professional journey started as a Management Consultant at IBM Global Business Services from 2007 to 2009.

Cory Painter holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business, which was obtained from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, Cory obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, spanning from 2002 to 2006. Furthermore, Cory has obtained additional certifications, including "Be an Inclusive Organization People Won't Leave" and "Inclusive Mindset for Committed Allies" from LinkedIn, both obtained in June 2022.
