Scott Porter

Scott Porter has extensive work experience in human resources and legal roles. Scott is currently serving as the Chief People Officer at The Aaron's Company, Inc. Prior to this role, they held the position of Interim Chief People Officer at the same company. From 2019 to 2022, they were the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at WarnerMedia, where they led people and culture strategy and executed a data-driven People Plan. During their time at Turner Broadcasting System from 2014 to 2019, they managed a human resources business partner team and navigated significant disruption due to a new CEO, layoffs, and the integration of Turner with other sister companies. Scott Porter also worked as an attorney at Taylor English Duma LLP and Powell Goldstein LLP, specializing in employment law. Scott served as the lead employment lawyer for CNN at Turner Broadcasting and CNN.

Scott Porter holds a BA degree in History from Auburn University and a JD degree in Law from Vanderbilt University.
