Lisa Lanier

Lisa Lanier has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Lisa is currently working as the Director of Research at AARP Foundation since March 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Manager of Monitoring and Evaluation at AARP Foundation from May 2015 to March 2020.

Lisa also has their own consulting firm called Lisa Lanier Consulting, LLC, where they have been the Principal Owner since July 2004. Alongside this role, they worked full-time until May 2015 and continued part-time thereafter. Lisa'sconsulting services primarily focus on program development, program evaluation, social science research, and prospect research for nonprofit organizations and government agencies.

Previously, Lisa worked as a Genetic Education Advisor at the National Human Genome Research Institute from September 1999 to July 2004. Before that, they served as an Education & Training Coordinator at Social & Scientific Systems from January 1995 to September 1999. Prior to that, Lisa was a Senior Education & Training Specialist at R.O.W. Sciences, Inc. from February 1994 to January 1995. Lisa'scareer also includes a role as the Director of Quality of Care Program at the National Association of Children's Hospitals & Related Institutions from June 1991 to February 1994.

Lisa Lanier holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Health Education from Penn State University. Lisa also has a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology from George Mason University College of Public Health. Lisa received a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Health Education & Communication from Tulane University School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine. Lisa completed their undergraduate education at the University of California, Davis, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Genetics. Additionally, Lisa obtained The Effective Facilitator certification from Leadership Strategies in October 2017.
