Kym Brotherton

Kym Brotherton currently serves as the MYP Coordinator at ABA Oman International School since August 2021 and has extensive experience in the International Baccalaureate (IB) system, holding multiple roles including Site Visitor Team Member, MYP Workshop Leader, and MYP Examiner with the International Baccalaureate since April 2012. Kym has also functioned as a Senior Moderator for MYP Language and Literature and as an examiner for DP Language A: Language and Literature. Prior to the current role, positions included Head of Department for Language and Literature at American British Academy Oman and MYP/DP Language and Literature subject leader at Bladins International School. Kym’s teaching background extends to various educational institutions, beginning as an English teacher at The Hayesbrook School and Azzan Bin Qais Private School. Kym holds a Master’s degree in English Language and Literature from Lund University and a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education from The University of Queensland.
