Senior FPGA Design Engineer at Abaco Systems

Shehzad Rasheed has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of hardware engineering and FPGA design. Shehzad is currently working as a Senior FPGA Design Engineer at Abaco Systems since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Alstom from December 2019 to November 2021, where they served as a Hardware Architect. In this role, they were responsible for executing FPGA design and validation activities, developing environmental/functional/EMC validation plans, and producing electronic design and validation documents.

Before joining Alstom, Shehzad worked at RWR Private Limited from August 2014 to March 2019. Shehzad held the position of Technical Team Lead, overseeing hardware and signal processing groups and leading various aspects of hardware development, including design, bring-up, and testing. Additionally, they worked as a Hardware Design Engineer at RWR Private Limited from August 2014 to December 2017, where they were involved in schematic design, PCB bring-up, hardware testing, and software development.

Overall, Shehzad Rasheed has demonstrated a strong background in FPGA design, hardware architecture, and team leadership throughout their professional career.

Shehzad Rasheed pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical (Computer) Engineering from the COMSATS Institute of Information and Technology from the year 2010 to 2014. Shehzad then furthered their education by acquiring a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) between 2016 and 2020.

In terms of additional certifications, Shehzad obtained an "AIR Values e-learning" certification from Alstom in April 2020. Additionally, in June 2014, they received an appreciation letter for organizing a workshop on "Raspberry Pi" from Dr. Farhan Shafique, the Associate Director of CAST at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Islamabad, Pakistan. Shehzad also earned a certificate for participating in the "COMSATS Robotics Contest" in May 2013, which was organized by the Chief-Organizer, who was the Head of CRC.
