Stephan Mertel

Stephan Mertel has been working in the software engineering field since 2011. Stephan began their career as a Student Internship in the Department of Electronic Media at Munich Airport in 2011. In 2013, they moved to Giesecke+Devrient as a Software Engineer. In 2016, they joined ROIBACK as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were responsible for the development and maintenance of software products and acted as team leader of integrations with meta search engines. In 2022, they moved to Abacum as a Senior Software Engineer.

Stephan Mertel completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Robotics and Interactive Cognitive Systems from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering - BE in Media Technology from OTH Amberg-Weiden in 2012, and a Bachelor of Engineering - BE in Computer Engineering from Savonia University of Applied Sciences in 2009.
