Edward A Clark has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of bioscience and pharmaceuticals. Edward A is currently the Founder and Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board at Abacus Bioscience Inc since February 2022.
Previously, Clark worked at the University of Washington, where they held the positions of Professor Emeritus from September 2017 to present and Professor from February 1979 to September 2017.
Additionally, they served as the Chief Executive Officer at Abacus Bioscience from January 2019 to February 2022. During their time at Abacus, Clark led the development of powerful drugs to accelerate immune activation against cancers and infectious diseases using a patented platform technology. Edward A was instrumental in seeking investments and partnerships to advance their immunotherapeutics.
Prior to that, Clark was the Founder and Head of the Scientific Advisory Board at Trubion Pharmaceuticals from 2001 to 2008. Edward A also served as the Founder and Senior Scientist at Genetic Systems Corporation from January 1982 to September 1984.
Clark started their career as an Honorary Staff Research Assistant at University College London from June 1977 to January 1979.
Edward A Clark completed their education from 1965 to 1977 at the University of California, Los Angeles. Edward A earned a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology during this period.
