Paul Cummings is currently the Regional Managing Director at Abbot Downing. Paul has held this position since October 2012. Prior to joining Abbot Downing, Paul was the Managing Director at Bank of America from July 2006 to October 2012. Before their time at Bank of America, Paul was the Managing Director at BNY Mellon from January 1992 to December 2006.
In their current role as Regional Managing Director at Abbot Downing, Paul is responsible for leading all aspects of the region, including setting strategy and execution while driving the team to meet or exceed targets for Sales, Budget, Risk, Diversity and Inclusion and “One Wells Fargo” Partnership activity. Paul is also a member of Abbot Downing Asset Management Governance, Operating and Management Committees, and they co-lead various strategy initiatives, such as the Foundations and Endowments functional design and go-to-market strategy, the “Sustainable Growth” initiative for Asset Management business leading to centralization of key functions and activity to drive better consistency and efficiencies for client facing portfolio managers, and the Family Office opportunity assessment, functional design and go-to-market strategy. In addition to their work with Abbot Downing, Paul is also a mentor/advisor for the Wells Fargo Latin Connection Emerging Leaders League.
Paul Cummings has a Bachelor of Arts in American Theirtory from St. Lawrence University and a Master of Business Administration in Business Administration and Management, General from St. John's University.
Paul Cummings reports to Jack Ginter, President. They are on a team with Matthew Robertson - Regional Managing Director, Keith Baum - Managing Director, and Douglas W. Evans - Senior Managing Director.
