Kartik Rajendran

Kartik Rajendran is an experienced healthcare executive currently serving as the Regional Director for the Southeast Asia Cluster at Abbott, managing significant operations in Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Myanmar, along with holding the position of Managing Director for Abbott’s Specialty business in India. Kartik leads a vast team of 2,700 members addressing chronic non-communicable diseases across a diverse portfolio of over 500 products. Prior roles at Abbott included heading New Products, R&D, and Innovation Strategy, as well as overseeing the Hospital Business in India. Before joining Abbott, Kartik held the position of Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, specializing in banking and financial services, and worked as a Marine Consultant at Applied Research International. Kartik began a career in maritime operations, achieving exceptional safety and efficiency as Chief Officer on chemical tankers. Educational qualifications include an MBA from the Indian School of Business and a Bachelor’s in English Literature from Delhi University, along with a Diploma in Nautical Sciences.
