Bingyu Kuang

Bingyu Kuang is a Senior Scientist at AbbVie since April 2021, specializing in upstream cell culture development, including the leadership of process analytical technology (PAT) development for bioreactor production, cell metabolism shift studies, and scale-down model process characterization. Prior experience includes a Research Assistant position at the University of Massachusetts from September 2016 to April 2021, focusing on genome-scale metabolic flux model development and CHO cell metabolic biomarker discovery. Additionally, Bingyu engaged in a research fellowship at the FDA, where formulation strategies and clone selection processes for CHO cells were developed, and completed an internship as a Process Engineer at WuXi Biologics, setting up perfusion bioreactors. Bingyu holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and dual bachelor's degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Chemistry from the University of Minnesota.
