Irene Lee

Irene Lee is a Senior Scientist in Translational Oncology and Precision Medicine at AbbVie since June 2021. Prior to this role, Irene served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute from February 2017 to June 2021, focusing on endocrine resistance mechanisms in ovarian cancer and the AR splice variant ARv7 in castration-resistant prostate cancer. Previous experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship and PhD candidacy at Northwestern University, where research centered on hyperactive Akt signaling in endometrial cancer and cancer biology. Earlier roles include a Research Associate position at Cayman Chemical, developing cell-based assays, and an Undergraduate Research Assistantship at the University of Michigan, where a fellowship-supported project investigated transcription factors. Irene holds a PhD in Cancer Biology and Reproductive Science from Northwestern University and a BS in Biology from the University of Michigan.
