Jacob Morafka

Jacob Morafka is a dedicated laboratory technician currently employed at AbD Serotec, a Bio-Rad Company, since January 2022, where responsibilities include equipment setup, sample preparation, and data collection to support scientific research. Prior to this role, Jacob worked at SUNFIXINGS Limited as a warehouse operative from June 2014 to January 2022, focusing on order management and precision in production pathways. Additional experience includes serving as a lifeguard and swimming teacher at Serco Leisure, where skills in communication and leadership were developed during classes and emergency situations. Jacob also volunteered as a student liaison at University Centre Shrewsbury and participated in community outreach as a science ambassador. An expedition volunteer with Outlook Expeditions involved construction and educational activities in a community setting. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Parasitology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science from University Centre Shrewsbury.
