As our firm continues to grow, we are looking for an Audit Manager who strives to perform at a high level of service. Under minimal supervision, this individual can work independently and is a strong self-starter.
The Manager is responsible for owning relationships and driving enhanced value with clients by identifying and implementing best practices that improve the accounting and finance operations of business clients within multiple industries. The primary responsibility of the role is to manage audits for our for-profit business clients. This individual is the liaison between the partner and staff and is regarded as the primary firm contact by the majority of assigned clients. You will perform a variety of professional auditing and attest work, including the planning and execution of assigned engagements from start to finish. You will be responsible for auditing and performing attest services, ensuring that all financial data is recorded consistent with established policy and procedures. This position will also assist on special projects as needed.

Key responsibilities include:
Meet with prospective clients to gain an in-depth understanding of their needs; prepare and present engagement proposals in conjunction with a Business A&A partner
Demonstrate continued progression in number, complexity, and scope of complex engagements managed
Determine timelines for completion of and staffing for assigned engagements
Prepare and review workpapers in conformity with standards including scope/objective/procedures/conclusion, adequate supporting documentation, tickmark and workpaper cross references
Delegate work, plan, and manage work flow and multiple engagements to ensure timely completion
Present final audit results to client boards and/or finance committees
Manage, develop, and train staff; responsible for staff training and development including implementation and research of new accounting and auditing standards
Develop new clients and market additional services to assist with firm growth
Ideal Manager candidate has:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
CPA license preferred
5+ years' experience working in public accounting; experience with demonstrated progression to leadership role
Possess and apply sound technical and operational knowledge in the practice area
Knowledge and ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and auditing standards
Strong computer skills and Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and staff, clients, and other external business contacts
Excellent client-service orientation with an ability to expand services and develop new business
Experience with or knowledge of automated auditing techniques is a plus
