Kirby Alton

Kirby Alton is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the biotherapeutics and biotechnology sectors. Currently serving as Chairman of Lanier Biotherapeutics since September 2021, and Executive Chairman of Abeome Corporation since January 2009, Kirby has also held the role of Trustee at the University of Georgia Research Foundation since April 2001. Previously, Kirby was involved with Amgen from October 1981 to December 1999, where responsibilities included preclinical research, clinical development, regulatory affairs, and product development, ultimately rising to the position of Vice President/Sr Vice President of Development. Kirby Alton holds a BS in Zoology and a PhD in Molecular Genetics from The University of Georgia, as well as additional education from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
