Joe Sussman

Joe Sussman serves as the Chief Accreditation Officer and CIO at ABET, where leadership encompasses global accreditation strategies and policies. With prior experience as an Industry Specialist at Deloitte Consulting, Sussman provided expertise in manufacturing, supply chain, and ERP-driven transformations. As the former President of the Board of Directors at ABET, significant contributions included the development of the Engineering Criteria 2000 program, shifting evaluation methods to outcomes-based assessments. At Bayer Business Services, Sussman held leadership roles overseeing IT applications and global Diagnostics manufacturing, while beginning a career at Technicon Instruments Corporation as Vice President of Engineering. Sussman holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia Engineering and an Executive Education Certificate from Harvard Kennedy School in Performance Measurement for Effective Management of Nonprofit Organizations.
