Jim Hagen has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Jim currently serves as the Global Marketing Director at Abiomed, where they are responsible for leading the marketing organization and driving sustainable growth by enhancing the brand and launching new products globally. Prior to this role, they were the Director of Global Surgery and Heart Failure Marketing at Abiomed.
Before joining Abiomed, Jim worked at Medtronic in various leadership positions. Jim served as the Director of Commercial Marketing, where they led the marketing organization for a key growth business within the Cardiac and Vascular portfolio. Jim was accountable for creating and executing global marketing plans to drive market share gains. Jim also held the role of Director of Integrated Health Solutions for the Asia Pacific region, where they established a Center of Excellence and designed a strategic plan to transition the company's brand. In addition, Jim was the Director of Business Development, Strategy, and Integrated Health Solutions for Australia and New Zealand, where they developed the company's 5-year strategy and negotiated key partnership agreements.
Prior to Medtronic, Jim worked at Covidien, where they held the role of Director of Operations, overseeing the turnaround of commercial operations and supply chain teams. Jim also served as the Global Transportation Manager and Demand Planner.
Throughout their career, Jim has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a focus on driving growth and innovation in the healthcare industry.
Jim Hagen obtained a Master of Science degree in Healthcare Leadership from Brown University from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor's degree in International Business from Elizabethtown College.
