Iwan Märki

Iwan Märki is the CTO and Co-Founder of Abionic. Iwan was previously a Research Assistant at the Institute of Microtechnology, where they researched passive and active two-dimensional photonic crystal components. Iwan has been with Abionic since its inception in 2006.

Iwan Märki completed a PhD in Photonic crystals at the University of Neuchâtel, followed by a Master of Science in Micro Engineering with a focus on Applied Photonics at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne).

Iwan Märki reports to Nicolas Durand, CEO & Founder. They are on a team with Jelena Nesic - Head of QC, Guillaume Haquette - Chief Biology Officer, and François Ventura - Chief Medical Officer. Some direct reports include Thomas Meuriot - Head of Technical Production, Stéphane Broillet - Head of Engineering.
