Sagar Prasad has a diverse range of work experience in the field of utilities and smart metering. Sagar started their career at Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd. as an intern, where they conducted a study on distribution loss reduction projects. Sagar then joined Infosys as an Associate Consultant in the Smart Grid Practices division, where they assisted with requirement clarification and conducted research for alternative solutions.
Sagar later joined Oracle on deputation from Infosys as a Quality Analyst, working on the development of the Operational Device Management product. Sagar was responsible for validating the functionality and cohesion of sub-modules through test case development and execution.
Returning to Infosys, Sagar took on roles as an Oracle CCB functional and techno-functional consultant. Sagar worked on multiple projects, including a US-based CC&B implementation project for APS and full-cycle implementation projects for FPWC and IRWD in the USA. Sagar also worked on an enhancement project for NWC in KSA.
Most recently, Sagar worked at Abjayon Inc. as a Solutions Architect. Sagar was involved in a project with NWC in Riyadh, KSA to extend the meter to cash process and leverage smart meter capabilities through the implementation of Oracle MDM. Sagar conducted system analysis and designed documents for meter replacement, master data sync, and billing.
Sagar Prasad began their education journey in 1992 at Delhi Public School in Vindhyanagar, where they completed their Class 12th degree in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) in 2004. Sagar then pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Electronics and TeleCommunication Engineering from Vishveshwarya Institute of Engineering and Technology, from 2004 to 2008. Continuing their education, Sagar went on to obtain a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Power Management from the National Power Training Institute in Faridabad, from 2009 to 2011.
In addition to their formal education, Sagar Prasad has also acquired several certifications. In 2014, they became an Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing 2 Certified Implementation Specialist through Oracle. Later, in 2022, they completed the Oracle Utilities Cloud Service Foundation Architect certification, also from Oracle. Further, they obtained a certification titled "Smart Grid Overview" from Enerdynamics, although specific details regarding the month and year are not available.
