Stacy Rendall

Stacy Rendall has a diverse work experience spanning from 2008 to the present. Stacy started their career as a Student Tutor at the University of Canterbury in 2008 and continued in this role until 2012.

In 2010, Stacy joined Abley Transportation Consultants as a Transportation Researcher, where they conducted research, mathematical modeling, spatial analysis, and development. Stacy also developed a pedestrian crossing facility selection web-tool for New Zealand and Australia, as well as worked as a Transportation Consultant in energy systems and transport.

In 2012, Stacy became a Research Fellow at the University of Canterbury, where they focused on the development of their PhD research and created an implementation of the META model to be used by the research funding organization. Stacy also developed various tools, such as a Transport Cost Calculator for the university's Sustainability office.

Stacy briefly worked as an Active Travel Intern at the Highlands and Islands Transport Partnership (HITRANS) in 2015. Stacy then joined DEREK HALDEN CONSULTANCY LTD. as a Transportation Researcher, where they contributed to a project funded by the UK Department for Transport to develop a web-based tool for improving school travel safety.

Next, Stacy worked at Route Monkey as a Senior Developer from 2016 to 2017.

Since 2017, Stacy has been employed at Abley, initially starting as an Associate Developer & Research Specialist. Stacy later advanced to the role of Principal Developer & Research Specialist. Additionally, they served as a Business Delivery Manager in Software Development, overseeing the management of the development team, implementing Agile project management methodologies, and defining the technical direction for the team.

Stacy Rendall's education history begins at Rotorua Boys' High School, where they obtained their School Certificate from 1999 to 2001. Stacy then attended Marlborough Boys' College from 2002 to 2003, earning their University Entrance and studying subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics with Statistics, Mathematics with Calculus, and English.

Continuing their education, they enrolled at the University of Canterbury from 2004 to 2007, completing their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering. Later, from 2008 to 2012, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Energy Systems Engineering at the same university.
