Ben Richter has extensive experience in the legal field, with their most recent role being the Director of Legal at Abnormal Security since 2021. Ben also has experience as the Director - Legal, M&A, Securities at Amiral Advisors, LLC, where they provided legal support for M&A and financing activities. Additionally, Ben worked as a Corporate Associate at Fenwick & West and had summer associate/intern roles at Fenwick & West and King & Wood. Ben began their career as an IT Security Policy Analyst at Blue Shield of California.
Ben Richter has an extensive education history. Ben attained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration, Economics, and Mandarin from Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business in the years 1997 to 2001. During this time, they also studied Mandarin and Chinese Culture in Shanghai International Studies University for a brief period in 2001. Additionally, in 2000, they pursued studies in Finance, Economics, and Mandarin at the University of Westminster.
Subsequently, Ben Richter attended Duke University School of Law from 2004 to 2007, where they obtained their Juris Doctor (J.D.) and LL.M. degrees. Their field of specialization during their time at Duke University was International and Comparative Law.
Furthermore, Ben Richter has obtained additional certifications. In August 2020, they acquired the Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Moreover, in November 2007, they were admitted to the State Bar of California.
