Kara Carnahan

Kara oversees housing and program operations in Alameda, San Francisco, and Napa counties, supporting director-level staff who have oversight of Abode’s teams on the ground. She is committed to program delivery that is low-barrier and serves the most vulnerable people in communities. She is a staunch advocate for programs delivered, using the principles of housing first and harm reduction. Kara works to build and maintain key relationships with community partners and funders, develop new programs, and improve current program delivery systems.
