Lukas Sommerhalder

Lukas Sommerhalder is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and data science. Currently serving as Teamlead Data Science and Project Manager at Abraxas Informatik AG since July 2023, Lukas specializes in leading software development projects in IAM, Data Science, and GenAI, with a focus on creating privacy-compliant enterprise search solutions. Prior to this role, Lukas co-founded Capskin, an ETH-Spinoff, and held the position of Co-Founder & CTO from March 2020 to March 2023, where expertise in developing soft sensors for wearables and AI post-processing algorithms was demonstrated. Experience also includes leading engineering efforts at the Swiss startup noonee, managing projects at Helbling Technik, and contributing to various educational and internship roles at ETH Zürich and other institutions. Lukas holds a Master of Science ETH and a Bachelor of Science ETH in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich.
