Partner at ABS Capital

Bion joined ABS Capital’s investment team in 2020 as a venture partner and became a full partner in April 2021. Prior to ABS, Bion was a Co-Founder and General Partner of Savano Capital Partners, where he sourced, structured, supported and ultimately exited multiple investments including Automattic, SquareTrade (acquired by Allstate), Silver Peak (acquired by HPE), Fastly (NYSE: FSLY), Simplus (acquired by Infosys), Endgame (acquired by Elasticsearch), AddThis (acquired by Oracle), Nintex (acquired by TPG), and Upwork (NYSE: UPWK). Prior to Savano, Bion was a Principal and the first non-founding employee at SmithDefleux Capital Partners. Bion’s formal finance training was developed at GE Capital, where he was a member of the Financial Management Program. Earlier in his career, Bion was founder or co-founder of five companies ranging from e-commerce to his last firm, Savano Capital Partners. Across those ventures, he has served as CEO, CFO, and President.

Bion works in ABS's Washington, DC office. Outside of work, Bion is a private pilot, an avid cyclist, and a skier.
