Lerato Aphane

Lerato Aphane has a diverse work experience history. They started their career at Atomic Marketing as a Brand Promoter, where they were responsible for promoting and selling Apple and Bosch products. In 2018, they worked as a Vacation Worker at PwC South Africa. The following year, they joined PwC as an Internal Audit Associate and later became a Risk Assurance Associate 2. In 2021, they transitioned to Absa Group as an Assistant Vice President of Data Assurance before moving on to their current role as Vice President of Governance and Reporting. They also served as a Class Representative during their time at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria.

Lerato Aphane completed a BCom Financial Sciences degree at the University of Pretoria from 2015 to 2017 and a BCom Financial Sciences degree with a specialization in Corporate Governance, Risks and Ethics at Nanjing Audit University in 2017. In 2018, Lerato obtained a BCom(Hons) in Internal Auditing from the University of Pretoria. Additionally, Lerato has obtained certifications as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from the IIA-The Institute of Internal Auditors in 2021 and as a Pastel-Intermediate Qualification from Sage Pastel Accounting in 2016.
