Vickey Ganesh

Vickey Ganesh has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Vickey is currently the Head of Pan African Digital Payment Operations at Absa Group since December 2023. Previously, they held the position of Principal at Absa Group from August 2020 to December 2023.

Prior to joining Absa Group, Vickey worked at Barclays Africa Group Limited as a Consulting Portfolio Manager from October 2015 to May 2021.

In 2015, Vickey took a three-month sabbatical during which they pursued their passion for high altitude hiking. Vickey successfully climbed Kilimanjaro for the second time and also summited Mt Elbrus in Russia.

Before their sabbatical, Vickey held positions at Standard Bank, Corporate and Investment Banking Division. Vickey worked as a Product Consultant for Enterprise Payments Services from June 2012 to June 2015, and as an Operations Programme Executive for Payments and Cash Management Architecture from January 2011 to June 2012.

Vickey's earliest work experience was at Standard Bank of South Africa Limited, where they served as an IT Account Manager for Payments, SWIFT, and Support from January 2000 to October 2006.

Vickey Ganesh studied at Damelin from 1992 to 1994, earning a Diploma in Technology with a focus on Technology.
