Fernando Benítez

Fernando Benítez has a strong and diverse work experience in the field of visual effects and animation. Fernando recently joined Absolute Post in 2022 as the Head of FX. Prior to that, they spent a significant period of time at Double Negative, starting in 2010 as an Effects TD and continuing until 2022. Before Double Negative, Fernando worked as an Effects Animator at Laika from 2007 to 2009. Fernando also had experience at Sony Imageworks as a Char FX artist from 2003 to 2005 and at DreamWorks Animation as a Visual Effects Artist from 1999 to 2003. Additionally, they worked at REZN8 as an Artist from 1993 to 1994.

From 1989 to 1993, Fernando Benítez attended Ringling College of Art and Design, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Computer Graphics.
