Craig Thomas has a diverse work experience in the brewing industry. Craig started their career as a Brewing Intern at Barney's Beer in 2012. Craig then worked as an Assistant Brewer at Eden Brewery for a few months in 2012. In 2013, they became an Inventory Manager at NorthPark Liquors and later joined Appellation Wines as a Beer and Whisky Specialist. In 2014, Craig transitioned into a Business Development role at Cara Technology Limited, starting as a Business Development Executive and later becoming a Business Development Manager. From 2017 to 2023, they worked at Firestone Walker Brewing Company, first as a Brewer/Cellar Operator and then as a Sensory Research Analyst. Currently, Craig holds the position of Sales Manager - Hops and Flavors at Abstrax Tech, Inc, where they are focused on innovating the brewing industry with advanced hop and flavor products.

Craig Thomas has a strong educational background. Craig completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Brewing and Distilling at Heriot-Watt University from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in History, specifically a Master of Arts with Honours, from The University of Edinburgh, where they graduated in 2012. In addition to their formal education, Craig has also obtained various certifications related to their professional field. Craig became an Advanced Cicerone in June 2017 and a Certified Cicerone in February 2015, both through the Cicerone Certification Program. Furthermore, they have completed courses such as "Finance and Quantitative Modeling for Analysts" and "Design of Experiments Specialization" from Coursera, and "BUS204: Business Statistics" from Saylor Academy.
