Tarek El Sherif has diverse work experience in the banking industry. Tarek started their career as a Credit Officer at CIB, where they were responsible for financial analysis and reporting. Tarek then moved on to George S. May International, where they managed SME client portfolios and conducted market surveys. Tarek later joined Bank of Bahrain & Kuwait as an Account Manager, leading the syndicated loan proposal and conducting market research. Tarek then worked at Union National Bank as a Relationship Officer, managing portfolios and enhancing existing relationships. Tarek then joined Emirates NBD as a Senior Relationship Manager, focusing on asset/liability business and credit facilities. Following that, they served as an Assistant General Manager at Samba Financial Group, developing the corporate banking department and approving credit. Currently, Tarek is the Head of Corporate Banking at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, where they are responsible for building relationships with MNCs and UAE clients, as well as managing asset portfolios and cross sales. Overall, Tarek has a wealth of experience in corporate banking, credit analysis, relationship management, and business development.
Tarek El Sherif's education history begins with their attendance at the New English School in Kuwait from 1974 to 1981. Following this, they pursued their high school education at the British International School in Cairo from 1982 to 1987. Tarek then went on to obtain their Bachelor's Degree from The American University in Cairo, where they majored in Economics with a minor in Construction Engineering from 1987 to 1994. Finally, they pursued a Master's Degree in Business Administration and Management, General at Richmond, The American International University in London from 2000 to 2002.
