Shirin Al-Hussein has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Shirin currently holds the position of Director of Product & Performance Marketing at Abwaab, a role they started in September 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Performance Marketing & PR (Global) + Product Manager at Abwaab from August 2021 to September 2022. Before joining Abwaab, Shirin worked as a Communications & Marketing Manager at the same company from November 2019 to August 2021.
In 2019, Shirin worked as a Program Manager at Tech Open Air (TOA), Europe's Leading Technology Festival. Shirin'srole at TOA aimed to help people future-proof their businesses and lives through understanding and leveraging technology.
In 2018, they worked as a Communications Consultant at Corviglia Capital Fund, a global fintech growth equity investor based in London. In this role, Shirin was responsible for leading the communication efforts surrounding the launch of their fund.
Prior to that, they worked as an Account Executive at High10 Media, a global communications agency. Shirin joined High10 Media as an Executive Assistant to the CEO in September 2015 and served in this role until June 2018. High10 Media specializes in developing and executing holistic and effective communications strategies for clients in various industries.
Shirin also gained experience through internships and volunteer work. Shirin interned at The Online Project in 2014 and served as a volunteer at One Heart Source, a non-profit organization focused on education and health initiatives, also in 2014.
Shirin Al-Hussein began their education at Amman Baccalaureate School in 2000, where they obtained an IB Diploma. Shirin later attended Harvard University from 2011 to 2015, during which they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. In 2013, Shirin briefly studied at the University of Sydney, focusing on Psychology.
