Muhammad Hamza Alam

Hamza Alam has extensive work experience in the field of asset integrity and inspection. Hamza is currently employed at Abyss Solutions Ltd since 2022, where they have held the roles of Senior Asset Integrity Engineer and Operations Lead - Middle East. Prior to this, Hamza worked at Velosi Asset Integrity Limited as an API Inspection Engineer from 2021 to 2022. Before that, they worked at Bureau Veritas Group for several years, starting as a Trainee Inspection Engineer in 2018 and progressing to become an Inspection Engineer and later a Team Lead - Inspection ISB & KPK. Hamza also has experience as a System Design Engineer at Tesla Industries (Pvt) Ltd. in 2018 and as an Intern in Reliability & Inspection at MOL Pakistan Oil & Gas Co. B.V. in 2017.

Hamza Alam completed their Bachelor's degree in Materials Science & Engineering at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology from 2014 to 2018. Hamza then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Engineering/Industrial Management at IU International University of Applied Sciences, which they are expected to complete between 2021 and 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Hamza Alam has obtained several certifications. Hamza obtained the IWCF - Level I certification from the International Well Control Forum in December 2021. In August 2022, they obtained the Piping Inspector (API 570) certification from the API - American Petroleum Institute. Hamza also holds the Specialist: Damage Mechanisms in the Refining Industry (API 571) certification from the API, which they obtained in April 2021. Hamza Alam obtained the Pressure Vessel Inspector (API 510) certification from the API in December 2020. In terms of non-destructive testing certifications, they hold the ASNT NDT Level II - Ultrasonic Testing certification from the Bureau Veritas Group, obtained in July 2020, as well as the ASNT NDT Level II - Radiographic Testing certification, obtained in January 2021. Most recently, in May 2023, they obtained the ClickUp Novice Certificate from ClickUp.
