Javier Ramírez

Javier Ramírez has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Javier has held various roles in the biopharmaceutical industry, with a focus on quality assurance, manufacturing, and process improvement. Their most recent position was as the Director of Quality Operations at Abzena, where they started in May 2022. Prior to that, they worked at KBI Biopharma as a Senior Quality Assurance Manager and Quality Assurance Manager from 2016 to 2022. Before joining KBI Biopharma, they held management positions at Therapeutic Proteins International, LLC, where they contributed to improving manufacturing operations and increasing productivity. Javier also has experience working at Amgen as a Manufacturing Specialist and Environmental Support Manager and at Foster Wheeler as a Validation Engineer. Javier began their career as a Sales Engineer at an Engineering Solution Provider, specializing in software sales and training. Throughout their career, Javier has demonstrated expertise in implementing process enhancements, troubleshooting systems, improving quality compliance, and reducing costs.

Javier Ramírez obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez from 1994 to 2000.
