Jim Rathbun

Jim Rathbun has over 10 years of experience in senior engineering roles. Jim is currently serving as the Senior Director of Engineering at Abzena since November 2023. Prior to that, they held the same position at AGC Biologics from July 2022 to August 2023. Jim also served as the Senior Director of Engineering at KBI Biopharma from January 2022 to July 2022. Before transitioning into the biopharmaceutical industry, Jim worked in various engineering and quality management positions at Novartis, CompMet, Transcat, Newark element14, and R&R Instrumentation, Inc.

Jim Rathbun obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Meteorology and Mathematics from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2009. Prior to that, they completed an Associate's Degree in General Studies from Community College of Aurora in 2002. Jim also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Operations Management and Supervision from Colorado State University Global. In addition to their educational achievements, Jim has obtained certifications including Certified Auditor for ISO 9000, Certified Auditor for ISO/IEC 17025, and an OSHA training certificate.
