Thomas Boogaerts

Thomas Boogaerts is an experienced machine learning professional with a diverse background in AI implementation and software development. Currently serving as a Machine Learning Specialist at Rematics, Thomas designs and implements end-to-end training and inference pipelines for object detection and tracking of waste materials using advanced models and AWS Sagemaker. As a Machine Learning Engineer at ACA Group, contributions include developing classification systems for waste materials, establishing production environments for image matching, and creating a chatbot solution. Freelance work features projects such as app icon generators and analyzing data trends from social media. Additionally, Thomas has expertise in mobile and web development, evidenced by founding HabitBull and developing the Kego event planner app. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Applied Mathematics from KU Leuven and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the same institution.
