Emily Bartholomew

Associate Program Director, UCP & Chirp at Acacia Center for Justice

Emily Bartholomew is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Associate Program Director at Acacia Center for Justice since 2023. Prior to this role, Emily worked at the Vera Institute of Justice from July 2016 to December 2022 as a Regional Manager and Program Manager. Emily's earlier experience includes serving as Pro Bono Coordinator at ProBAR Children's Project, where legal representation was provided to unaccompanied Central American children in detention, and working as an Associate Attorney focused on dependency law for foster youth at the Law Offices of John Passalacqua. Additionally, Emily has experience in academia, having taught courses on Criminal Justice, American Government, and Spanish at CEC and Constitutional Rights at Mendocino College. Emily holds a Master of Laws in Child & Family Law from University College Cork, a Juris Doctor in International Law from California Western School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Claremont McKenna College.
