Nicholas Rutherford has over seven years of work experience. In 2017, they joined Academia.edu as Associate Director of Engineering, then Technical Team Lead, and finally Software Engineer. From 2015 to 2017, they worked at TrueVation Technologies, Inc. as Software Engineer, where they co-founded PatientPrep, a tool to optimise the patient visit while diminishing delayed or misdiagnoses. Nicholas used Flask and KnockoutJS to build a responsive UI. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Research Assistant at the University of Saskatchewan, where they assisted the creation of AUDELSI, a simulator for Lagrangian systems, and compared differential equation solvers written in Python to ones written in Fortran.
