Geert Depuydt

Geert Depuydt has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Geert currently serves as the Product & Data Analyst Lead at AcademicLabs since July 2020. Prior to that, from July 2019 to June 2020, they worked as a Product Data Scientist at ONTOFORCE.

Before their time at AcademicLabs and ONTOFORCE, Geert worked at Custodix nv as a Clinical Data Analyst and ETL Developer from December 2016 to July 2019. In this role, they developed data flows to migrate clinical data into a data warehouse and also conducted clinical data management and technical assessments for hospital sites.

Earlier in their career, Geert was a Senior Researcher & H2020 Project Manager at KU Leuven from January 2014 to November 2016. Geert also worked at Ghent University, where they served as a Postdoctoral Researcher from January 2013 to December 2013 and as a PhD student and teaching assistant from October 2005 to December 2012.

Geert Depuydt obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from Ghent University, which they completed from 2001 to 2003. Geert then pursued a Master's degree in Biotechnology at Ghent University from 2003 to 2005.

In 2015, they completed The Data Scientist's Toolbox and R Programming courses and received Coursera Verified Certificates for both. In the same year, they also completed the Statistics and R for the Life Sciences course offered by Harvardx on edX.

More recently, in 2021, Geert obtained certifications in Drug Development and Drug Discovery from UC San Diego. In 2022, they completed courses on Supervised Learning with scikit-learn and Unsupervised Learning in Python from DataCamp.
