Jeffrey Schiff

Jeffrey Schiff is a Senior Scholar at AcademyHealth since May 2020, collaborating with the Center for Evidence Based State Health Policy to enhance quality and equity in healthcare, particularly through the national Medicaid Medical Director Network. Since June 2019, Jeffrey has also worked as a consultant, leveraging extensive expertise in pediatric emergency medicine acquired during 35 years as a Pediatric Emergency Physician at Children's Minnesota. From May 2006 to June 2019, Jeffrey served as Medicaid Medical Director for the Minnesota Department of Human Services, where noteworthy achievements included the creation and implementation of a successful patient-centered medical home program, the Minnesota Medicaid Accountable Care Model, initiatives to combat birth outcome disparities, and strategies to address the opioid crisis, alongside contributions to national quality measurement and health services research.
