Georgiana Balau

Georgiana Balau, PhD, is a lecturer in International Studies at Leiden University since January 2017. With extensive experience in academic research, Georgiana serves as a reviewer for the Academy of Management in the Technology & Innovation Management and Managerial and Organizational Cognition divisions. Previously, Georgiana was a PhD candidate at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, focusing on creativity at individual, team, and organizational levels. Additional roles include research assistant positions that involved qualitative data analysis and support for various research projects. Prior experience as an expert in information and communication at the Romanian Ministry of Education, Research and Innovation involved implementing key program measures and organizing informational activities. Georgiana holds multiple graduate degrees in human resource management and social management, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Universitatea „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” din Iași.
