Barbara Hawkes is a seasoned professional in employment law and workplace relations, currently serving as a Senior Advisor and Conciliator at ACAS since July 2012. In this role, Barbara advises employers and employees on best practices in employment law, facilitates conflict resolution, and conducts management training in various skills relevant to workplace dynamics. Prior to this, Barbara coordinated workplace health and wellbeing initiatives for the Department of Health from November 2009 to June 2012, engaging with multiple sectors to enhance workplace effectiveness. Earlier experience at ACAS included a tenure as Senior Advisor and Training Services Manager, where Barbara focused on improving employment relationships and organizational effectiveness. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in European Social Policy Analysis from the University of Bath and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Brunel University London.
