IT Support Technician at Accelecom

Thomas Miner has a diverse work experience in the field of telecommunications and IT support. Thomas started their career in 2008 as a Groundskeeper at Fair Oaks Open Bible, where they performed various maintenance and repair tasks for school and religious activities.

In 2010, Thomas joined the Media Gateway Facility in Landstuhl as a Satellite Telecommunications Technician/Maintainer. Here, they installed, configured, and operated satellite communications equipment and supervised shifts of employees.

In 2013, Thomas began working for the US Army as a Satellite Telecommunications Technician/Maintainer. Thomas was responsible for installing, configuring, and operating tactical satellite communications equipment, as well as supervising shifts of employees. Thomas also conducted network operations at a technical level.

From 2016 to 2018, Thomas worked as a Communications Technician at MSRC, where they managed backup systems, maintained various communication systems, and provided technical support for drills and emergency responses.

In 2018, Thomas joined Verizon as a Network Technician I, where they managed, installed, and maintained DWDM and SONET rings for telecom corporations. Thomas also played a key role in planning and implementing a new data center.

At Verizon, Thomas also served as a Service Desk Technician, responsible for managing computer systems, IP phones, peripheral devices, and network access for over 300 staff members. Thomas also managed the active directory and provided support for security systems and point of sale systems.

Currently, Thomas is working at Accelecom as an IT Support Technician. Thomas is responsible for various Microsoft Office and 365 administration tasks, as well as migration of IT systems from another company.

Throughout their career, Thomas has demonstrated strong technical skills, the ability to work with cross-functional teams, and the capacity to handle complex IT and telecommunications projects.

Thomas Miner completed their high school education from Freedom Christian School from 2004 to 2008. During this time, they studied subjects such as Theology/Theological Studies, Debate, Ethics, and Economics. Following high school, from 2009 to 2010, Thomas attended the US Army Signal School, where they graduated with a degree in Basic Computer Skills, Basic Electronics, and Satellite Communications Wide-band Technical School.
