Sophie Schaffer has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Sophie started their professional journey in 2017 as a Research Assistant at Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, where they conducted literature reviews and interviews for research projects. In 2018, they worked as a Summer Arts Specialist at Hand in Hand: Center for Jewish-Arab Education in Israel, leading art workshops and facilitating conflict resolution for children. Additionally, they were a Kindergarten and First Grade After School Teacher at NEEDHAM EXTENDED DAY PROGRAM, where they supervised and engaged young children after school.

In 2019, Sophie joined Accelerate Wind as an Operations Manager. In this role, they developed a GIS model to identify wind turbine business cases, rebranded the company, and conducted stakeholder surveys on turbine aesthetics.
