Taiwo Joda

Taiwo Joda has over 20 years of experience in the banking industry. Taiwo started their career at Equatorial Trust Bank Limited, where they held various positions as Head of Bank in different regions. Taiwo then joined Diamond Bank Plc as the Group Head of Corporate Banking, responsible for developing and managing commercial strategy. Afterwards, they worked at Fidelity Bank PLC for 10 years, serving as Head of Corporate Banking and later as the Regional Executive in charge of Commercial and Consumer Banking. Currently, Taiwo is the Managing Director/CEO of Accion Microfinance Bank Limited, where they provide leadership and strategic direction for the bank's objectives of financial inclusion and serving the underbanked in the Nigerian Economy.

Taiwo Joda has a Bachelor's degree in Banking from the University of Lagos, which they obtained in 1989. Taiwo later pursued a Masters degree in Finance and Banking from the same university, completing it in 1998. Additionally, they have completed an Executive Program in Advanced Leadership and Management from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Taiwo Joda has also obtained various certifications, including being a Fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Management (FNIM), a Member of the Institute of Directors (MIoD), a Microfinance Certified Practitioner (MCP), and a Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (HCIB).
